I have seen it time and time again: children who participate
in art programs learn that their work is original and this realization boosts their self esteem and allows them to respect
different opinions and ideas. In addition to that, as Einstein said, children become better problem solvers because art adds,
subtracts, multiplies and divides but in images, in three dimensions, in their hands as they build, paint, and make decisions
about their work. I have learned firsthand that making art is a form of communicating; making a unique
statement that allows us to transform our environment into positive emotions. The question should not be why study art, the
question should be, why not study it more…
